Drowning Adam | News | Story | Life | About US

Destroying the scene with their attacking Dynamically Powered Punk. Guitars melting perfectly to a seamlessly tight rhythm section, memorable melodies and melodic choruses. Accented by soul-rattling howls and paradoxical lyrical images.

Skill and tacked clearly emerge from Drowning Adams new material, giving it more than just the high-spirited energy of a modern-day punk group. From their origination, Drowning Adam was on a relentless musical mission. After pummeling the local club seen they took it on the road with acts like Face to Face, Good Riddance, No Motive, Welt, and Enemy You.

The band - which originated in the Northern California town of Sacramento generally puts enough time aside every year or so to make a record. Lead singer Ryan Scoleaset is a computer geek that runs a pizza parlor with ex-guitarist Dan who is also a full time family man. Guitarist Jesse is the UPS guy and avid BMXer. Second guitarist Travis is a mean looking large bald man but is as nice as a little fuzzy rabbit and he also is in the construction business. Besides playing drums in his spare time Dave lays tile and builds houses. Bassist Clint also works in the tile business and is currently living with a confused cross dressing off-Broadway used to be super star.

Drowning Adam's songs are filled with the excerpts of life-from the edge of desperation and lost dreams to rage at society's many ills. A highly melodic and meaningful assault, Drowning Adam is the perfect antidote to so much sonic fodder in our culture. Insistent guitar lines and mosh-inspiring grooves frame every number. Hook-heavy songs such as "Bottle for two" and "Innocence," not to mention the pop-punk track, "You know," adorn an undeniably lineup.

With this throbbing and unforgettable new release, Drowning Adam firmly stakes out its own territory. And with commitment and Creativity, Drowning Adam thrust their musical into the collective sonic mix of the twenty-first century.
